Our Spring Vacation

Well, it's over now, but let me tell you what fun we had! We didn't go anywhere except to my parents' house because our plumbing was backing up. However, with the WONDERFUL Florida-like temperatures for a few days, we pretended that we were on "vacation." That, combined with the fact that my parents are out of town with Rachel - yes, Keetha, Rachel is at Kim's house for the week and Kevin and Tara are joining them today - gave us an excuse to go out to eat every night like we do on vacation. Never mind that Brad was still working and I still taught my class - it was fun. I even cleaned out our van so that it looks like the "new" van it is! Anyway, my laptop won't charge, so I can't show you any fun pictures because my Memory Manager software is on the laptop! More later...

Here she is!

It's a girl! For those of you who can't tell what in the world this is supposed to be, she is laying on her back looking up. It's a profile shot. Her stomach is the black oval in the middle of her abdomen - you can barely see ribs above it. Her arm looks a little out of place, but it's sticking up. One of the pictures the ultrasound tech took had her hand right up to her mouth. Too cute. Of course, we were given these photos on a 3 1/2 in. floppy disk. Now I just have to find a disk drive for those. Ugh.
When I walked back in my parent's house after the appointment, Rachel asked very excitedly if it was a boy or girl. I asked her how she felt about another brother. "NOoooooooo..." Was the reply, so I told her that was good since it was a girl. She screamed and was so excited she even had Daniel cheering that it was a girl! He didn't say those words, of course, but he was cheering. We will have to remind him later in life that he really was excited to have another sister.

Here's my 19 week pregnancy shot - Tara is going to inherit some of the tops that I bought this pregnancy and am outgrowing already! This one is on it's way out.
Daniel has thrown up four times today, so far. Poor baby. He'd had enough of Mommy not holding him.

It was her birthday, so we met in Ohio for an all day Creative Memories event with Mom and Aunt Jean. We had a great time, and even got the ice that we were supposed to get back home and didn't. How fun :)
In other news, I'm having a nephew! Tara had her first ultrasound and Kevin posted pictures. Once again, you'll have to click on the link on the right. I have my ultrasound next week, so we may be able to tell if we're having a boy or a girl. Rachel never let us see, so it was a surprise. We guessed she was a girl because she was modest. Daniel was happy to show off his neat little parts for all to see. It must be a guy thing.
